Summary
The Touchstone Center for Crafts (TCC), headquarted in Farmington, PA (Laurel Highlands), seeks an experienced grant writer (contractual &/or as needed per project) to help secure funding for the purpose of capital and operational funding.
Founded in 1972 as the Pioneer Crafts Council, Touchstone Center for Crafts is a unique three-season crafts school offering both week-long and weekend classes in a diverse array of media, including blacksmithing, ceramics, jewelry and metals, fiber, glass, painting, mixed media, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and book arts. Located in the Appalachian Mountains region of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Touchstone is situated on 150 acres wooded acres.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Technical writing skills
- Experience developing, writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals
- Proven track record of ability to obtain grant funding
- Excellent research skills to identify funding sources for priority projects
- Experience working with managers and fiscal officers to determine goals and objectives, scope, feasibility, funding needs, and narrative justification for budgetary expenditures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet all proposal requirements
- Ability to follow instructions with very small margin of error
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency for submittal deadlines
- Ability to research, collects, and deciphers data into meaningful statistics
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of grant writing experience in grant writing/development
- Experience working with foundations, corporations, and government agencies is strongly preferred
