Marketing/Special Event Coordinator, The Neighborhood Academy - Pittsburgh, PA

The Neighborhood Academy, a PAIS accredited college-preparatory school for low-income youth is hiring a part-time Marketing/Special Events Coordinator.

Department: Development
Hours: Part-time (25-30 hrs/week)

Duties include:

Manage special events programming including annual gala.
Write quarterly newsletter and manage all marketing pieces and website updates. Photograph school events.
Implement strategic marketing plan and build and maintain relationships with other organizations and the media.
Update and maintain development database.
Input gifts and send donor acknowledgment letters.
Serve as administrative support for development department and various committees.
Assist with large mailings and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, previous non-profit development experience a plus. Special events and development d-base experience helpful. Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills. Must be a creative self-starter who works well as part of a small team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep a reliable schedule important. Proficient in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing programs.
