NEWLY CREATED FULL-TIME POSITION: Project Manager
(for a collaborative workforce development & experiential education regional effort)

COMPENSATION: 45-55K (DOE) & Benefits

PURPOSE: Support the collective efforts of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association and the Southwestern PA BotsIQ Management Committee to assure that youth interest in manufacturing is generated through hands-on activities, connected to manufacturing employers, and results in employment in the manufacturing industry.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to articulate and promote a vision
Problem solving ability where independent judgment is required
Excellent accuracy, organizational skills, and accountability
Ability to achieve goals, compile and maintain data and communicate detailed outcomes
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and professional skills
Ability to work as a team as well as work independently with little supervision
Willingness and ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule including minimal evenings and weekends
Ability to establish rapport with youth, parents, educators, and business leaders
Ability to multi-task and set priorities
Significant driving/traveling in southwestern PA, so must have access to reliable and insured transportation, and possesses a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: B.S. in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required. Minimum 2 years previous experience in project development and management. Previous experience with sponsorship solicitation and marketing/PR preferred. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and experience providing youth services a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional
