Qualifications
Strong computer skills, including experience with website content management systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Raiser's Edge or comparable donor software. High level of organizational ability, and attention to detail. Accuracy in production of correspondence and reports. Gracious and outgoing manner. Ease in managing multiple tasks across a range of marketing and development activities. Reliability and discretion a must. Marketing communications skills and experience (writing and/or design) a plus.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Fundraising, the Donor Database, Web and Content Management Specialist will work with the web content management system to facilitate the creation and updating of web pages and with the donor development system to enter, acknowledge and manage donations. Donor Database, Web and Content Management Specialist will help with the day to day activities of the department. Be able to respond appropriately to the cultural characteristics of the donor, referral and service population and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the marketing director and/or PR associate, collaborate with staff from various functional areas of JF&CS to assist in writing content for web, design/edit web content/page layouts, manage and maintain content to keep it fresh and up-to-date, help define and develop JF&CS's content strategy in support of agency and functional area goals, work with web development agency and/or JF&CS IT director on web enhancement projects as appropriate and create tracking reports to drive content optimization and provide insight into visitor needs.
- Includes gift entry and database management within Raiser*s Edge software, creating acknowledgment letters and monthly reports; providing some event data management.
- Responding to inquiries (donor, referral sources, prospective clients, board members and internal staff).
- Support for events, meetings and any other agency activities as needed.
- Maintaining agency calendars of events, maintaining a high level of customer service (to donors, referral sources, prospective clients, board members and internal staff).
- Participate in training and development activities consistent with job responsibilities
- Assume other responsibilities as they arise.
