Title: Director of Career Development Center
(Full-time Position)
Status: Exempt
Supervisor: Associate Executive Director
Qualifications:
The Career Development Center is known for its expertise in career counseling, and assisting individuals with marketing themselves to obtain employment. The Director must have strong experience and credentials. Minimum of Master’s Degree in related field. Minimum of three years of supervisory, program development and administrative experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to motivate and structure the work of others. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively. Experience working with diverse populations.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall operation of the Career Development Center, including supervision of all staff; development, marketing, monitoring and evaluation of programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Develop and monitor work processes that insure the efficient operation of the Career Development Center (CDC) programs.
- Oversee all reporting requirements to ensure compliance with the monitoring agencies.
- Oversee and report on intake.
Personnel Management:
- Supervise CDC staff, assign tasks, conduct performance reviews, recommend merit increases, corrective action, monitor productivity, and professional development of staff.
- Recruit, select and train new staff.
Client & Program Services:
- Monitor the quality of services provided to clients.
- Develop and monitor client’s quality and quantity of services as related to contracts.
- Oversee accurate database management for CDC.
Program Development:
- Identify, develop, implement and market CDC programs with the staff and the Associate Executive Director.
- Prepare necessary background information and funding requests as appropriate.
- Consult with other JF&CS and non-JF&CS agencies in order to promote enhanced services to clients.
- Make public presentations; represent the CDC at community, professional meetings and conferences.
- Participate in community forums and other forums related to CDC services.
Other Duties:
- Attendance at departmental, agency wide staff meetings and in-service training sponsored by agency.
- Participate in professional development activities to meet the needs of client population including their cultural needs, as well as program administration of the Career Development Center.
- Assume other duties as assigned to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and organizational of JF&CS.
