Education Associate, Human Services Center Corporation – Turtle Creek, PA

The Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC) is seeking a part-time Education Associate for anyone interested in working with children Monday-Friday for up to 19 hours/week at $10/hour in the afternoon/early evenings. The HSCC is a private, non profit 501c3 organization that improves the quality of life for children, adults, and families in the Monongahela Valley area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Education Associate
Status: Non-Exempt, Temporary, Part-Time
Reports to: Youth Programs Director

Major Responsibilities:

To support youth enrolled in the Youth (Learning In a Fun Environment) LIFE Program.

Duties:

Provide staff support for the Youth LIFE Program, including supervising youth during all scheduled activities and assisting with academic work.
Administer weekly point sheets and attendance sheets for youth.
Resolve conflicts between youth and report all problems to the Youth Programs Director in writing.
Assist in serving afternoon snacks and dinners.
Perform other duties as necessary.

Background:

High School Diploma
One year experience working with youth.
Must have own transportation.
Current Act 33/34 clearances.

Flexible scheduling is required:
Academic school hours are generally Monday through Thursday 3:15PM – 7:15PM and Fridays from 4:30PM-7:30PM. A maximum of 19 hours per week may be worked.
