JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for managing government, corporate and foundation grants program.  Provide professional guidance for goal setting and leadership in identifying and executing strategies that can be achieved through grant solicitations. Researches and identifies organizational funders; write proposals, reports and general correspondence.  Responsible for identifying potential prospects and obtaining and verifying biographical, financial and other background information. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating results of various solicitation activities. May supervise staff.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to manage all components of the Grants and Research function, including but not limited to government, corporate, foundation, and organizational funders. Identify grant funding opportunities, deadlines and programmatic funding possibilities using available research tools. Provide professional guidance for goal setting and leadership in identifying and executing strategies that can be achieved through grant solicitations. Track fundraising progress toward established fundraising goals and prepare informative reports on progress toward goals and strategies. Conduct detailed research on individuals and grantors and produce comprehensive research reports. Develop and implement methods for gathering data about potential donors for various membership solicitation activities and to determine possible giving levels. Steward grants, administer and monitor Grants and Research budget. Communicate frequently and work collaboratively with staff, administrators and volunteers to increase support and to meet CLP’s strategic goals. Bachelor’s degree and five or more years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

WORK HOURS:  37.5

SALARY:  $41,135-$57,549
