As a member of Carlow University's Advancement Team, the Director of Alumnae Relations works closely with Advancement Team colleagues, administration, faculty and staff and the Alumnae Board in engaging an annually increasing number of alumnae to re-engage with their Alma Mater and to participate in Carlow's Advancement efforts of friend- and fund-raising. The Director will also involve current students in alumnae activities and will work with the Offices of Student Affairs and Career Services to identify programs which provide opportunities for alumnae and students collaboration.

The Director works with alumnae leaders and committees to plan and manage all alumnae communication, involvement, programming, and leadership development.

The Director conducts research and surveys to develop an accurate and complete data base of contact information for alumnae as well as information about their post graduate work, careers, interests, achievements, children, and spouse education and employment information. In addition, the Director identifies interests of various profiles of graduates [traditional, ADC, graduate, certificate, associates] in order to better involve them in the Alumnae Association and alumnae activities.

The Director engages alumnae through regional chapter development, travel programs, reunions, President's visits, Vacation College or Elderhostel programs at the main campus in Pittsburgh, and at other appropriate locations.

The Director is goal oriented, learns and understands the University's strategic goals, and develops Alumnae Relations goals accordingly.

The Director supervises all work related to the alumnae office performed by office support staff, student interns, work study students, and volunteers.

The Director is responsible for managing the Alumnae Relations budget and for accounting for all reservations, income that flows through the Alumnae Relations Office from fees, and registrations.

The Director will monitor and measure outcomes of the program's stated goals and will benchmark these outcomes with comparable institutions as well as with institutions Carlow University aspires to emulate.
