The Volunteer Corps at Animal Friends is an integral facet of the organization’s everyday operations. With more than 700 active members, the Volunteer Coordinator is the leader and role model for this corps. This high visibility position is responsible for the management and maintenance of all areas of the program including recruitment, retention, training, communications, new program development, departmental integration and program fundraising. The proper candidate must enjoy working with diverse groups of people, problem solving and public speaking. The candidate must possess ability to maintain high activity level consistent with the demands of this position. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required. Computer competency expected; knowledge of VolunteerWorks desirable.
