COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW The Minority & Women Educational Labor Agency is a non-profit organization with administrative offices located the Lawrenceville neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh and a training facility in the Northside of Pittsburgh. MWELA's mission is to provide increased opportunities to minorities and women in the construction industry. The organization services its constituents through two programs; the Pre-Apprenticeship Program which provides education and training for individuals seeking a career in the building trades unions and the Sheltered Bond Program which enables minority and women-owned construction firms to become prime contractors on projects in the southwestern Pennsylvania market through providing greater bonding and financial strength and stability for these businesses. By creating the Sheltered Bond Program, MWELA has designed a three-pronged approach which includes a (1) Bonding Program, (2) Working Capital Loan Program and (3) Business Skills Training Program to achieve this goal. More information on MWELA is available on www.mwela.net JOB DESCRIPTION The Compliance Coordinator position is an administrative and compliance position that will support the Sheltered Bond Program. All information for the Program will be reported, analyzed and managed through this position. RESPONSIBILITIES
