POSITION CONCEPT:

This position manages all aspects of designated geographic/market area including fundraising, program sponsorship, educational marketing, program implementation, board development and special events. Time allocation is:  45% resource generation; 45% program implementation and 10% administration.  Requires local/regional travel (55%+).

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:                             
  1. Assures that area revenue meets the targeted budget goal. Implements contingency plan and achieves make up for any shortfalls.
  2. Assures that area program goals are met.
  3. Secures commitments received for each account in geographic/market area.  Manages sales strategy to secure new companies for geographic/market area.
  4. Recruits and places volunteers from companies in geographic/market area.
  5. Implements quality improvement to increase retention of volunteers and to assure model fidelity.
  6. Interacts with Board Committee in geographic area.  Provides assistance in identifying leadership for appropriate Board positions.  Board development is a key component to this position.
  7. Manages/implements individual special events (bowl-a-thon, golf, etc.) for each geographic/market area.  Secures sponsorships, volunteer participation, site/venue arrangements, promotion/marketing, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent.  Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.  Must be a self starter, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a team player. Computer literacy in MS Office. 

 

Desired:
3-5 Years previous experience in sales/marketing, managing fundraising events or comparable experience.
