Staff Accountant, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh - Duquesne, PA

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh is currently seeking individuals for the position of staff accountant. Qualified candidates should have 2 – 3 years of accounting experience including maintaining general ledger, receivables, payables, posting of required monthly and year end entries, account analysis, mortgage and escrow account maintenance, bank reconciliation, preparation of financial statements, credit and collection management, and assisting with year-end audit. Handles internal administrative and office management. Works with title companies, attorneys, and other service providers. Acts as liaison to various executive and operating committees. Successful candidate should have an understanding of QuickBooks and Peachtree software systems as well as Excel, Word and Windows based programs. An understanding of not-for-profit and construction accounting is preferred but not required.
